Classic clams
Clams are an absolute treat for the taste buds, especially when prepared in the right style. Cooking them in white wine is a tried and true method and a culinary classic. Doing so also enables you to bring the feel of a high-quality restaurant to your own home. You can also add a little butter, parsley, and garlic to the pan as a flavor enhancer.
When you’re enjoying your clams dish with all of that tasty sauce on top, don’t let any flavors go to waste! Have a nice loaf of French bread on the side, crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, so you can dip it into the sauce and let it soak up every drop of deliciousness.
Classic chowder
Those who love comfort foods may want to consider turning their clams into a chowder recipe. Such dishes are thick and creamy and will warm you up on any cold evening. Start by cooking some bacon, onions, celery, and potatoes, then throw your clams into the mix. Finally, pour in some stock and cream, and let it all simmer together. Once it’s ready, sprinkle a little bit of fresh parsley on top for a subtle herbaceous kick, and enjoy!
Spicy clam pasta
If you’re in the mood for being creative, love Italian food, and want to spice things up, this could be the dish for you! For this one, you’ll need to prepare some linguine. While it’s boiling, take hold of another pan and start lightly frying some chili flakes and garlic in olie oil. Then you can add your clams to the pan along with a nice splash of white tine. If the clams aren’t precooked, wait until they open. That’s them telling you they’re ready to eat! Then, it’s time to add your linguine along with some chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice.
